What didn’t work in our catapult: Our fulcrum in front of the spoon caused it to fall apart. Repeat step 3 two more timesħ My conclusions: What worked in our catapult: The rubber bands worked cause that’s what held the spoon in place. Step 3- Put the egg on the spoon and launch the egg. We sat the spoon in a hole in the base so we can stick the spoon in there with tape and hot glue then we put 3 rubber bands to sling it back. We did that is for the spoon to be thicker so it flings farther. Now to the spoon there a popsicle stick behind it with a rubber band to hold those together the reason. There's tape and rubber bands to keep that to stand up. There's two popsicle sticks that are shaped like a x in front of the two popsicle sticks that are standing up. We put wooden sticks behind for protection to keep it from falling down. How we build the catapult Step 2- First we built the catapult next we started out with the bottom like a house (a square) Then there's a v shape in the middle of the square with two popsicle sticks that stand up right in front of the square. We knocked out a piece in the middle of the base with scissors to put the spoon in. There about five to six popsicle sticks between the bottom and top of the base. N Next we build the base like the top of a deck and we used 19 popsicle sticks right next to each other. Step 1- First we build the base with popsicle sticks. Hot glue 1 cup 1egg 2 wooden sticks Tape measure Why?
